Another two haiku of ESE I'd like to emulate, or seek inspiration from, in this episode presented on the Carpe Diem Haiku website (see link below):
I have chosen these two haiku of hers, because they use the blossoms with such powerful, yet almost natural intensity. There is not much more commentary needed for these haiku, the first arouses desire, yet in such innocent way, and the second, well, brings forth such emotion in me that reading it is almost painful.
My Kimono
January moon-
cherry blossoms of my kimono
blushing on the floor
Empty
empty garden
searching for a plum blossom
on frosted window panes
Using these two haiku of ESE as much-needed though daunting inspiration, I will try to write a third.
On a Carpet
she lays back
on a carpet of apple blossoms
under a falling sky
