no rainbow
just cold autumn rain
and a solitary seagull's cry
maybe I'll make paper cranes
to adorn the cherry blossoms of spring
each with a message of love
while summer's sunflowers grow
under blue skies that open my soul
unblemished by grey clouds
as a flirty butterfly, too
dances from nectar to nectar
and I finish winter's last beer
